Olszewski Calls for Resignation of Defense Secretary Hegseth

(Washington, DC) – Congressman Johnny Olszewski, a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, today issued the following statement following the publication of a text message transcript confirming that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and other defense leaders shared detailed military action on non-classified software:

“Yesterday, Trump officials swore under oath there was no classified information in their Signal group chat. Today, we learned they not only shared classified information – time-stamped missile strike schedules – but they also lied about it.

Secretary Hegseth shared the schedule, put our troops in grave danger, and then lied about doing it. He must resign immediately.”
